Single-Player/Multiplayer
In WolfQuest, you can choose to play in either single-player or multiplayer mode.
Here are the key differences between the two:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Single-Player
You play alongside non-player characters (NPCs).
You are limited to having one mate.
The quest “Learn to Hunt” is available, unlike in multiplayer.
You have full control over naming all the pups.
Opening the map or menu pauses the game.
You decide when to sleep (NPCs may sleep on their own, but time doesn’t pass quickly unless you choose to sleep).
NPCs usually follow you unless they’re tired or temporarily unmotivated—which rarely happens.

Multiplayer
You play with real players.
You can have up to eight mates (though they aren’t actual mates in the gameplay sense).
Available quests include “Establish a Territory,” “Find a Den,” “Raise Pups,” and “Load at Rendezvous Site” (unless you're playing in a two-player co-op game, which includes all quests).
Each player names one pup—unless there are more players than pups.
The game does not pause, even when you open the map or menu.
The host decides when the group sleeps.
Players move freely and are not required to follow anyone.
